North Plains Public Library

The NPPL is happy to announce our new online storytime program: Click-A-Story. You and your children can listen to stories and look at the accompanying pictures on our website. Here’s an example:

If you’ve placed holds on books or DVDs in our library system, you know that library items travel all over the county. This is a really great thing that helps all library users get things they like. The slight problem with this is that popular items purchased by the NPPL usually fly off the shelf to other libraries right away. We’re happy to share, but want to providing a good browsing experience at the library too. If we had more space and more money for books we could get multiple copies and have one for circulating throughout the county, and one for checkout in the library.

As a compromise, we’re making new items non-holdable for its first month of circulation. They’ll be available for checkout at the NPPL circulation desk only. Look for these items on display at the front of the library and enjoy browsing!
