Technology Upgrades Completed!

Thanks to your support, the North Plains Public Library has grown to be an indispensable asset in our community. One service — providing public access to computers and the Internet — is in especially heavy demand, with over 10,000 logins and 6,000 hours of use annually. Our book and media circulation is growing as well. Technology to better serve these needs is now available at our North Plains Library.
Our Digital Drive Campaign raised funds to accomplish several goals:

Upgraded all computers to Windows 7 operating system and software to Office 2010.
![]()
Added a self-service RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) kiosk, allowing patrons to quickly check-out materials themselves, providing faster service and easing the load on staff and volunteers
Thanks to the Meyer Memorial Trust grant of $13,000 and donations from the Friends of the Library and our library patrons, we achieved our goal and completed all the needed technology upgrades.
