The Youth section of our library is filled with materials for children of all ages, from those just learning to turn the pages of colorful picture books to adolescents looking for books dealing with the issues of early adulthood.

We have several shelves filled with Board Books and soft puppets for our baby-age readers. Also, in the Children’s section are our selected Early Reader books, located just across our Picture Book shelves. Kids can also enjoy listening to some of their favorite stories on tape or CD from our Junior Audio Books section.

Junior readers can choose from either fiction or non-fiction materials, the later ranging in topics such as Science Fairs, Dinosaurs, Pets and Biographies. On the topic of the Junior Fiction shelves are some of our staff and volunteers’ favorite selections.

Opposite our Junior Videos are the Young Adult materials. These include both fiction and non-fiction books, as well as our Comic Book Exchange shelf. We have also made a couple displays for the convenience and knowledge of our patrons, featuring Caldecott and Newberry Award books and a selection of Historical Fiction for young readers.
