April Quilt Display

The quilt on display above the checkout desk throughout the month of March and April was created by Barbara Summey, our library volunteer who conducts Storytimes on the second Wednesday of each month.

In this quilt, Barbara honors children’s author Theodore Geisel, otherwise known as Dr. Seuss. Annually, on March 2, which is Dr. Seuss’s birthday, there is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place. Across the country, thousands of schools, libraries, and community centers participate by bringing together kids, teens, and books.
