Just Desserts, a Sweet Appreciation of Our Volunteers

On Thursday, April 25th, 2013 from 4 to 6 pm we will be holding a Volunteer Appreciation Reception at the library to honor the many volunteers who donate hundreds of hours of their time and talents to our library.
This will be an informal time to come in and have some homemade desserts and socialize and tell our volunteers how much you appreciate them.
3rd Annual Un-Birthday Party!
NPPL Volunteers have been working incredibly hard!! We’ve had our nose to the grindstone without a chance to take time to socialize or party. You have been amazing month after month, working hard to provide the highest quality services in a library. It’s time to celebrate each of you!!
What is an Unbirthday? The term “unbirthday” was created by Lewis Carroll in the book Alice Through the Looking Glass. Disney combined this scene with the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party from Alice in Wonderland, in their 1951 animated film of the same name. An unbirthday is any one of the 364 days in a year that is not a person’s birthday (or 365 days in a Leap Year, of course). As the Mad Hatter declares to Alice, all the more reason to celebrate a Un-birthday with a slice of unbirthday coffee cake!
So please join us Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the Library. Come any time from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm for a tasty slice of Un-birthday coffeecake, muffins and other brunch items baked or put together by North Plains Library Staff. We hope you will come and give us a chance to say “Thank you! for a job well done!”

2nd Annual Un-Birthday Party!
On Saturday, August 27, 2011, the library will hold its Second Annual Un-Birthday Party for volunteers, from 1:30- 4pm at the Library. Our volunteers give hundreds of hours each month to keep our library running smoothly and operating at a very high level of efficiency. Thanks to our tireless and ever-friendly Volunteer Coordinator, Carol Aldrich, we have a fantastic group of well trained, dedicated volunteers. They deserve a huge THANK YOU from all of us!
